About the founder

Debbie Simon, Holistic Life Coach.

Debbie founded this house and still runs the room herself. She has been practicing for more than fifteen years, and she works the mental, emotional and spiritual side at once instead of picking one. Alchemist is her own word for the job: life skills, mindfulness coaching and plant knowledge, mixed until the combination fits the person in front of her.

She is a yoga and meditation instructor, a massage therapist and a herbalist. That range is why a first conversation covers more ground than people expect: sleep, food, stress load, and whatever has been going on at home. She starts at the root cause rather than the symptom, and what she is working toward with you is steadier emotional balance and a daily habit that still holds a month later.

Most of her week goes to two things. One is the Women's Support Group, for women carrying trauma, grief, illness, or the care of someone who is not going to get better. The other is herbal remedies, which she both practices and teaches, through consultations here and through workshops and talks she is booked to give elsewhere.

The practice, the apothecary and the vintage collection all sit under the same roof in New York, and she is the person behind all three. Almost everything she offers runs online, so most people never have to travel to it.
